Ultrasound Images Transmission Algorithms through Wireless LAN

For the medical ultrasound images transmission, they require a very reliable communication because it will affect the diagnostic accuracy. In this paper, we focus on the transmission control strategies that adapt to the time varying wireless network conditions. We analyze the strategies which use the competitive analysis techniques. In the previous proposed competitive analysis, it shows how good the link layer transmission control algorithms are compared with the optimal algorithm that has perfect knowledge of the states of the wireless channel for the entire duration of the transmission. Experiments show that the performances of the algorithms are effective.
